HR Business Partner

As The July continues to expand internationally, we are looking for a HR Business Partner with international HR experience, preferable in Hospitality, who gets excited to develop and implement an international HR strategy. Our first international hotel will open in London in 2025. If you have experience in the UK Hospitality market, then we are looking for you! This role will be based in Amsterdam as our Headquarter is located in one of our hotels in Amsterdam.

The job

The July is in an exciting period of growth which includes acquiring, developing and opening hotels internationally. Therefore the new HR Business Partner will be one of the first to execute the HR strategy for our new hotels in Europe, starting in London in 2025.

In this role you will take lead on projects for our international rollout such as; researching and implementing competitive benefits & insurances and translating our HR guides in compliance with local regulations and alignment with global standards. Besides the lead of these projects you will be developing activities and be part of projects in which HR supports the growth ambition of the organization, such as employer branding, strategic personnel planning, international employment, attractive benefits and improving engagement. Especially during your first year, you will actively engage in the Dutch HR operations to gain a comprehensive understanding of our systems, procedures and company culture and values.

As an HR Business Partner you provide expert guidance and support on complex HR matters and are a sparring partner for our managers within our head office. You are part of our HR team, which currently consists of an HR Director, an HR Specialist, a Talent Acquisition Specialist, a Recruiter and an HR intern. You will report directly to the HR Director.

The head office is located in the ID Aparthotel. You can work at our HQ in Amsterdam and at our other hotels in Amsterdam. We love to see each other in person and we strongly believe that working together provides an environment for collaboration and teamwork. It’s easier to brainstorm ideas, share feedback and work together towards a common goal - especially in this exciting phase we’re currently in!

As a HR Business Partner you are people driven and you also like to actively cooperate with the team to achieve the best result. In addition, our ideal colleague has:

• At least 4 - 6 years work experience in HR, ideally in the hospitality industry and UK market and other countries

• An entrepreneurial mindset: you act proactively and think in terms of possibilities

• Available 32 - 40 hours, based in Amsterdam or surroundings

• Deep knowledge of global HR best practices, employment laws and regulations, with experience working in diverse cultural environments

• Excellent communicator in English and able to connect with all levels in the business

• Positive and approachable personality
